📝 Monthly Retainer (retainer fee is for three months)
A monthly retainer assures that you, your business, and your projects receive top priority and are completed first. It also guarantees that you have a professional writer on call whenever needed, even on short notice. In addition, retainer clients receive a discount on requested services.
Standard industry retainer fees depend upon the amount of content and copywriting required by your business per month. Fees can range from $1,000 to $5,000 per month. Retainer contracts can be for three months, six months, or 12 months.
Retainer fees are invoiced monthly after a monthly review.
A monthly review assesses the amount of work requested for the previous month versus the amount of work that was estimated for each month when the retainer contract was negotiated. If the amount of work requested is substantially greater or smaller than the estimated amount, then the retainer rate will be adjusted accordingly. However, the minimum retainer fee is $1,000 per month.
🛑 If the retainer contract is canceled for any reason after work has begun for a given month, the payment for that month will be treated as a non-refundable deposit known as a kill fee.
Only three to four retainer clients can be accepted.
